Getxo Taxi Tour
This flyer describes the audio-guided taxi routes where you have the chance to discover Getxo’s architectural and cultural wealth in comfort. An “in-depth” tour: This 1-hour circular route narrates the town’s history and describes 24 points of interest. And a “Monumental Coast” tour which begins at Bizkaia Bridge (A World Heritage Site) and in 20 minutes ends in the Old Port, describing 15 points of interest. This flyer helps you to visually identify the points of interest in the narration, as your taxi approaches them.
QR Tour - Tours using your Smartphone
In this flyer we propose two routes to get to know the town’s most emblematic districts and the peculiarities in its history, with the support of your mobile phone. A unique interactive experience, "Magic fly", the itinerary of which is configured through solving riddles, and a route inside the Old Port, downloading the free “Getxo, the Old Port from house to house” App. Activate the QR code reader and place it over the QRs that appear on the panels and plaques on the housesa.
Bizkaia Bridge
A monographic leaflet on this iron giant, the most outstanding emblem of the Industrial Era and one of the best-known icons in Euskadi. Declared a World Heritage Site (UNESCO, 2006), it is the oldest Shuttle Bridge in the world and a direct witness of Bizkaia’s most recent history. The leaflet includes details about its history, the Bridge today, representative dates, the tourist tour offering, a small location plan and other points of interest in the town associated with Bizkaia Bridge, popularly known as the “hanging bridge”. A visit not to be missed!
La Galea
A monographic leaflet on this beautiful coastal fringe formed by a succession of cliff faces, beaches and coves with splendid panoramic views of the coast. The leaflet includes details concerning the points of interest located in strategic spots in the area: Andra Mari Church, the Chapel of El Ángel de la Guarda (The Guardian Angel), the Cemetery of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, the Aixerrota Windmill, La Galea Fort, and a small location plan. Old Port - Leaflet / Flyer
A monographic leaflet on this authentic, charming place, where its people have lived for years bound to the sea and today groups of friends gather to have some pintxos and a chat. The leaflet includes details about its history, descriptions of the points of interest, curious facts, a small location plan, the tourist and gastronomy offering and other points of interest in the town associated with the Old Port. If you are looking for somewhere with atmosphere, history and tradition, the Old Port is the place for you!
Plan-Guide Book of El Abra Bay
On this map you will find all you need to know to enjoy the three tourist towns on El Abra Bay: Santurtzi, Portugalete and Getxo. All the details to visit the points of interest, where to eat and stay, outstanding activities and experiences, their festivities and a calendar of their major events. All of this is reflected on the location map, with pictograms, numbering and the length of the routes to help you on your visit of the bay.

Getxo Dog friendly
This fold-out map is essential for people seeking destinations to travel with their dog. If this is your case, in Getxo we will be delighted to receive you both. Consult the lists of establishments that guarantee them not only access but also a warm welcome: Accommodation, bars, restaurants and shops. We have included dog-friendly transport: Metro, bus, taxi, shuttle, elevator and boat. Furthermore, we have also indicated the best coastal and inland routes and recreation areas for you. The Old Port, from house to house
This flyer shows the interactive tourist itinerary that you can do through the Old Port of Getxo, during your visit. Through information panels distributed in different parts of the Old Port you will know the history of this charming neighborhood that, today, causes admiration among our visitors. If you walk between the cobbled streets of the port, you will find a series of plaques placed on the facades of the houses. These, in addition to showing their names of origin have a series of QRs that will allow you to discover, through the smartphone, all the peculiarities and historical details of each house. Braille map with audio support - A FRIENDLY DESTINATION FOR EVERYONE
Getxo Tourist Office offers visitors a map of Getxo in Braille (Basque and Spanish). The map comes with an option to scan the QR code to listen to tourist information on Gexto, the most important tourist resources, the points of interest and Metro stops. This information is available in the following languages: Spanish, Basque, Catalan, English, French, German and Italian.
A stroll past the Great Mansions of Getxo
In this practical guide book, you will discover some of the most iconic buildings of the palatial architecture, built during the Getxo’s halcyon days, between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. It is a self-guided tour involving 29 information panels that will help you to understand the architectural styles that prevailed at that time (eclecticism, traditional English architecture and regionalism), as well as its most renowned architects and the contemporary social context. You will enjoy a pleasant walk along the seafront, the Las Arenas and Arriluze quays, taking you back to Getxo’s golden years!.
