Azkorri: Environmental tours
Welcome to a fascinating environmental route along the coast of Getxo!
We invite you to an educational and entertaining tour where you can get to know the flora and fauna of the region up close, and learn about the geology and the impact of humans on the environment. This activity is perfect for the whole family and is designed for both adults and families with children from 4 years old.
What will we explore?
Coastal Flora: We will observe and learn to identify the native and invasive plants of the coast, using microscopes to discover their smallest details.
Amazing Geology: We will learn about the "golden nail" and its importance, we will explore the flysch of Bizkaia and, if we are lucky, we will find a fossil that connects us with the remote past of the Earth.
Characteristic Fauna: We will identify the most representative animals of the area and talk about their habitats and behaviors.
Protected Environments: We will visit protected areas such as the runner toad, the transdune zone and the coastal heaths, understanding their importance for the ecosystem.
Human Impact and Anthropocene: We will reflect on the impact of human activities on the natural environment and how we can contribute to its conservation.
