At the Tourist Information Office, we provide information for tourists and visitors travelling with their dogs with and wishing to enjoy plans, accommodation, restaurants, stores and attractions accompanied by their pets where the latter is welcome. We likewise inform about dog exercise and play areas and means of transport.

If you run a dog-friendly or dog-related business in Getxo and /or you might be interested in taking part in the following editions, you can do so free of charge by writing to us at: turismo@getxo.eus; To assure tourists and visitors travelling with their dogs that your business is ready to receive them, the basic aspects establishments should cover are:
- Have an up-to-date website clearly specifying the services offered for clients with dogs.
- Allow dogs access to the facilities and include any possible exceptions (timetables, days, spaces, weight limit, size, etc.).
- Provide a bowl of fresh drinking water when requested; especially important in catering and accommodation establishments.
- Have at least one activity that can be undertaken with a dog, i.e., an activity in which the dog can accompany its owner and not a space where the dog may be left to wait; especially important for service and activity companies.
If your establishment is already certified as a dog-friendly or dog-related business, all you have to do is give us the URL of your certified business website or page.
Regulations in Getxo.
In Getxo pets are not prohibited from entering bars and coffee shops, unless the owner expressly forbids this.
